In three weeks I’m graduating from college with an A.A. degree.
In two weeks I’m (supposedly) suppose to decide whether I want to go to the University of Minnesota, or the University of Duluth.
In one week I have to sign up for classes if I choose to stay at Century longer (haha, yeah right).
This is crazy. Why do [...]

I was sitting in my seat, my regular cold, hard metal seat in my Interculutural communications class drawing a little flower on a folder as my teacher was handing out papers when I heard…
“And in polish, Elizabeth is pronunced El’sh-bee’eta…..here you go”
I looked up as my teacher was handing my a piece of paper, and really, i had [...]

A couple things I’ve learned in this past week:
1. Don’t EVER give up. Whether that be giving up on something, for something, in something, with doing something, on someone, for someone….just don’t give up.
2. YOU have a purpose. yes, YOU who are reading this with your own two eyes RIGHT NOW. God has in mind [...]

There ain’t no reason things are this way.
Its how they always been and they intend to stay.
I can’t explain why we live this way, we do it everyday.
Preachers on the podium speakin’ of saints,
Prophets on the sidewalk beggin’ for change,
Old ladies laughing from the fire escape, cursing my name.
I got a basket full of lemons [...]

Hello my lovely people!
Well, I have a story for you today. In fact, a story fresh off the hour.
So, you know how absolutely gorgeous it is outside? Well, the walk inside of me kicked in and I decided to use it and go for a walk (and also apply for this job at this store [...]

I feel hope a’rising. Like the sun that’s shining, shining, shining. Hope is rising, rising, rising.
No longer am I bound to these fears. Of unknown, , undoing, uncertainty, understanding.
I’m a free bird and I will sing. I will sing. I will sing.
So sing with me, along with me, together with me, so sing with me.
We [...]

Tonight I am going to see this guy:
at the University of St. Thomas in the Koch Commons.
Oh yes, and it is free.
So come one, come all and enjoy a night of poetry like you’ve never heard before and some folk music!!
And honestly, you will not regret it.
