Tomorrow, is my first day of rock climbing:

Maybe it won’t be that extreme, haha, but still, I’m very excited and kinda nervous.
I met my group I will be rocking climbing with last night. There are 5 people in my group, 2 girls, 2 guys, and me. Let me tell you about them:
First girl is very ditsy. so much so that it scares me. But she is a extremely nice. Has these huge brown eyes and a freckled face.
Second girl is Asian. Loves, loves to talk. Very caring and funny. Took the rock climbing class to try to get over her fear of heights.
First guy is really interesting. He use to be an ex Navy, so he knows how to tie ropes like nobodies business. Is VERY helpful, has climbed with one of the world’s greatest rock climbers, and is the lead guitarist and singer in a Reggae band (cool).
The second guy was actually one of my fellow students in my English class my first semester here at college. i don’t know if he remembers me or not, but I have this freakish thing with remembering people’s faces, for some reason they just don’t fade away. Anyway, he seems like a very sporty kind of guy. Has this awesome tree tattoo going up his leg, is going to Alaska after school to go backpacking and what not, and is also really good with rock climbing.
Those are the people in my group. The people I have to trust my life with. The people I will be spending the next few days with from sunrise to sunset. this should be interesting.
Anyway, my teacher is a whole ‘nother story. When you first meet him, he seems like this cranky old man that is super stern, but after a while, you just realize it is because of his sense of humor and his genuine care that no one gets hurt that he comes off like that. He really is a funny, funny guy who has been through a lot. Seriously, he was telling us stories how he has fallen when rock climbing and has shattered his knee in 5(?) places, broke his neck, shattered his heel. crazy.
SO that is the low down so far, I’m pretty sure I will have some interesting stories to tell you in the next few days. So farewell for now, I must go practice tying my knots for the knot test tomorrow. Cheerio!
