I am in one of those moods where I am thankful for even the little spider that lives in my window sill (Actually, i honestly don’t know if there is indeed a “little spider” that lives in my window sill, but I am just believe that there is because of that fact that you are never more then 20 feet away from a spider).
I suppose I should be thankful for everything all the time….and so I try.
Can I just tell you about my glorious day?
First of all, I ride the bus into school riding in to a beautiful….beautiful sunrise. I mean guys…this was quite the gorgeous one I’ve seen in a while….pinks and reds and light oranges…with hints of blue! It was so lovely.
Then at school they were having this “Aiming for the guinness book of world records” for the most flu shots. Here is a link to it. When I walked past I saw the news reporters there with cameras and mics everywhere, and there was a Vikings mascot there giving everybody hi-fives and next to him was a Viking’s cheerleader and two vikings players (don’t know who they were) which smiled at me when I walked by. Smiles are good.
Then coming home I decide to walk from downtown Minneapolis to my house (which is only 2 miles away at the most) and I visited the chapel, surrounded with a fenced in garden with little flowers of blue and purple, with brick side walks and streets all around it. Have I ever told you how much I love brick sidewalks and streets? Hmm…they are so vintageyhistoricalromanticlylovely!
So I walked and skipped down the brick side walks until I stubbed my toe on one that was popping up (yes, you do have to watch out for those). But no worries because the chapel has a blue door. yes. yes, you know it.
After that I always walk past this restaurant that is called Nye’s Polonaise Room, with a piano bar, and it always has old 30’s swing dancing music playing….which makes the world oh so lovely! Makes me smile each time I walk past it and it makes me wish I had someone beside me that I could break into swing dancing with!
Then as I am one block away from my house, the bus that I usually take, stops right beside me and the doors open and I see my regular bus driver man. I motion to him that I am walking, but he smiles and is like, ‘NO…come on in….I’ll take you to your regular stop…don’t worry….hop on!”
So I was like, “well, okay”.
I don’t know if I told you this either, but all of my bus drivers know me. which can be good and bad. oh well.
And now, I am listening to some Phil Wickham sing “Because of Your Love”. Which I have been jammin’ on the guitar with 24/7. You need to check that song out.
Anyway,
all of this to say, I have had a very good day! Jesus is lovely, so lovely.

ps. I just looked at my school’s site and it says they have already broken the previous record (3,271 people) and have set a new record at (so far): 6,680 people! um…wow?
